So you want to go club racing?

Desire, money & commitment (not necessarily in that order)

Desire and it’s arch nemesis, fear of the unknown, go hand in hand. I’ve personally had a desire to go racing since my teens. Now almost 50, I delayed for far too long. By dispelling the myth that all racers are somehow ‘super human’, joining the ranks is easier than you might think. Everyone started in the same place! So what do you need to do to get started? Roadsports Lap Records

Blue book rule 4.5.3 states that a driver may be disqualified at the discretion of the Clerk of the course if a driver’s lap time exceeds 10% of the 3rd fastest car. Heat buildup causes all sorts of issues in a race car. For the brakes it increases the wear of rotors and pads. It also causes brake fade which is a reduction in braking coefficient all as a result of overheating. So far all the brake cooling kits I’ve seen seem a little expensive running to a few hundred dollars. Especially those manufactured in the USA from the likes of AAF, Turner Motorsport & Hard Motorsport never mind the shipping and import costs.
